Member Week (6/7): Celebrating our Church Family

Jesus is the King. The King decides how His kingdom is built. Jesus Christ is building His kingdom through the local church (Matt 16:18).

That is why church membership matters. The local church is the pasture in which Christ’s sheep gather, grow, and glorify the Chief Shepherd. God knows what He is doing. As Jonathan Leeman wrote, “the Good Shepherd has not only redeemed His sheep, but He has also figured out how to feed and lead them.” This is where church membership comes in.

Here at FBW, we celebrate the awesome privilege and tremendous responsibility of being called by God. As members of His church, we will highlight church membership the week of 6/7-6/14.
