The people of God are a singing people. After escaping from the Egyptians and crossing the Red Sea, the people of Israel sang a song to the Lord (Exod. 15). Singing was part of Israel’s formal worship in both tabernacle and temple (1 Chron. 6:31-32, 16:42). The Psalms bear rich testimony that in joy and sorrow, in praise and lament, the faithful raise their voices in song to God. The Bible is jam-packed with tones of worship for every shade of life.
Our worship at FBW seeks exalt Christ. We love music that lifts up the Godhead and the gospel: traditional hymns, contemporary anthems, and special musical ensembles. Worship unites us in praise and is an important part of our gatherings together. We worship God through the week with our lives when apart and our voices and talents when assembled together!
