Worship

The people of God are a singing people. After escaping from the Egyptians and crossing the Red Sea, the people of Israel sang a song to the Lord (Exod. 15). Singing was part of Israel’s formal worship in both tabernacle and temple (1 Chron. 6:31-32, 16:42). The Psalms bear rich testimony that in joy and sorrow, in praise and lament, the faithful raise their voices in song to God. The Bible is jam-packed with tones of worship for every shade of life.

The Lord brought our worship leader, Bill, and his wife Isha to FBW in 2016. Bill Ton is an assistant professor music at Bethany College. More than that, he is outstanding worship leader and a man after God’s own heart. His heart’s desire is to use any gifts God has given for His glory. His wife Isha is from India and she is amazing young woman. The church is blessed by their presence and worship. Stop by to meet them!

Our worship at FBW seeks exalt Christ. We love music that lifts up the Godhead and the gospel: traditional hymns, contemporary anthems, and special musical ensembles. Worship unites us in praise and is an important part of our gatherings together. We worship God through the week with our lives when apart and our voices and talents when assembled together!
